Job Description

Location: Sanganur Coimbatore

Department / Function : Sales & Marketing                                                                                           

Reporting To : Sales Manager

Number of Positions: 2

Languages preferred: English/Hindi/Malayalam/Tamil

Workings Days: Monday to Saturday

Working Time: 9 AM – 6:30PM

Week off: Sunday

Work experience (years and industry background): 2–7 years - Home Automation, Building Material Supply Products (Paints, Interior, Lights, Bathware, Sanitaryware, PVC Pipes), and most closely working with architects. Profiles with relevant experience will be given priority.

Technical skills: Electrical and Electronics experience will be an advantage

Preferred industry background (if any): Home Automation and Digital Security Solutions like CCTV, VDP, and related systems.

Salary band: 20,000 - 50,000

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

The Sales Executive should identify and approach potential customers, including:

·      Home owners

·      Architects

·      Builders

·      Interior designers

·      Commercial clients

·      Hotels, schools, offices, apartments, and institutions

They should generate leads through field visits, referrals, networking, cold calls, social media enquiries, exhibitions, and existing customer references.

2. Product Presentation

Explain complete smart solutions portfolio to customers in a simple and professional way, including:

·      Home automation

·      CCTV surveillance

·      Digital door locks

·      Video door phone

·      Gate automation

·      Motorized curtains and blinds

·      Lighting dimming and tuning

·      Fan and AC automation

·      Wi-Fi networking

·      TV and media control

·      Safety and security sensors

·      Water tank, gas, and geyser automation

3. Site Visit & Requirement Collection

Visit customer locations, understand their requirements, take proper site details, and coordinate with the technical team for solution design and estimation.

4. Quotation & Follow-up

Prepare or coordinate for quotations based on customer needs. Follow up regularly until closure and maintain proper communication with the customer.

5.Sales Closure

Convert enquiries into confirmed orders by clearly explaining benefits, value, product quality, technical support, and customized solutions.

 

6. CRM & Daily Reporting

Update all leads, follow-ups, site visits, quotation status, and closure status in CRM or the company’s daily sales tracker.

7. Coordination with Internal Team

Coordinate with the technical team, accounts team, and management for smooth execution from enquiry to installation.

8. Customer Relationship Management

Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business, upgrades, Google reviews, and referrals.

9. Market Development

Build strong connections with architects, engineers, builders, consultants, and BNI/business network contacts to create regular business opportunities.

Required Skills

·      Good communication and presentation skills

·      Basic understanding of electronics, security systems, or automation products

·      Ability to explain technical products in a simple way

·      Good follow up discipline

·      Confidence in field sales and customer meetings

·      Basic computer knowledge

·      CRM or Excel reporting knowledge

·      Two-wheeler with valid driving license preferred

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of experience in sales

Experience in CCTV, home automation, electrical, networking, security systems, AV systems, or construction-related products will be an added advantage

Key Performance Indicators

·      Number of new leads generated

·      Number of site visits completed

·      Number of quotations submitted

·      Follow-up discipline

·      Monthly sales value achieved

·      Conversion ratio

·      Architect/builder/consultant connections created

·      Customer reviews collected

·      CRM daily update accuracy

·      Payment follow-up and collection support
