Production Manager

Job Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all manufacturing operations within our sheet metal fabrication facility. This role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are met while optimizing resources, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Control
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
• Coordinate workflow between cutting, punching, laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, powder coating, and dispatch departments.
• Manage production capacity and resource allocation.
• Operations Management
• Supervise and lead production supervisors, operators, and shop-floor personnel.
• Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, equipment, and manpower.
• Monitor production performance and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Inventory & Material Management
• Coordinate with procurement and stores departments to ensure material availability.
• Monitor raw material consumption and minimize waste.
• Control work-in-progress (WIP) inventory levels.
• Optimize material utilization and yield.

• Cost Control & Reporting
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance analyses.
• Track productivity, efficiency, scrap rates, and downtime.
• Support budgeting and operational planning activities.
