Job Description
Business Requirement (Role Definition)
Position: Accountant + Executive Assistant (ERP & Operations) Location: Pondicherry Industry: Transformer Manufacturing Unit
Objective: To manage end-to-end accounting, GST compliance, inventory tracking, and assist management in business operations with strong integration of Zoho Books & Zoho Inventory.
Key Responsibilities
A. Accounting & Finance
•
Maintain books of accounts (Zoho Books / Tally)
•
Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable
•
Bank reconciliation, cash flow tracking
•
Vendor payment management & follow-ups
•
Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet preparation
•
Working capital tracking (CC utilization, debtor cycle)
B. GST & Compliance
•
Filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciliation
•
E-invoicing & E-way bill handling
•
Coordination with auditor for returns & compliance
•
Handling notices, if any
C. Inventory & Manufacturing Coordination
•
Maintain stock in Zoho Inventory (RM, WIP, FG)
•
BOM tracking for transformer production
•
Job work entries and material consumption tracking
•
Coordination with production team for stock updates
•
GRN, dispatch, and delivery tracking
D. Zoho Integration & Automation
•
Implement and manage Zoho Books + Inventory workflows
•
Ensure proper mapping of sales, purchase, and production entries
•
Generate MIS reports from Zoho
•
Improve automation in billing, inventory, and GST
E. Executive Assistant Responsibilities
•
Assist in banking work (loan, CC, BG documentation)
•
Maintain key business documents and reports
•
Follow up with vendors, clients, and consultants
•
Support management in decision-making with data
Required Skills
•
Strong knowledge of GST, accounting, and inventory
•
Experience in Zoho Books / Zoho Inventory (preferred) or Tally
•
Understanding of manufacturing environment (very important)
•
Good Excel and reporting skills
•
Ability to handle multi-role responsibility (accounts + operations)
