Job Description
Passive Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining passive infrastructure equipment, which includes structured cabling, fiber optic cables, and network racks. The role involves planning and executing cable laying and routing, performing termination and labeling of network cables, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Technicians also set up racks, patch panels, and structured cabling enclosures, coordinate with site engineers and project managers, and maintain documentation of cable schedules and test reports. They provide ongoing maintenance and support for passive network infrastructure post-installation and assist senior technicians during site surveys and project commissioning.
