Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant / Medical Store Assistant
Location: Janaushadhi Kendra / Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-time
🧾 Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support daily operations in our pharmacy/medical store. The candidate will assist in dispensing medicines, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions
- Handle billing, cash transactions, and POS systems
- Maintain stock levels, check expiry dates, and arrange medicines properly
- Receive and verify incoming medical supplies
- Guide customers with basic product information (OTC medicines, hygiene products)
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store
- Maintain records of sales, inventory, and prescriptions
- Follow all pharmacy regulations and safety standards
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum: 12th Pass / Diploma in Pharmacy (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of medicines and healthcare products
- Experience in pharmacy/medical store is an advantage
- Familiarity with billing software / computer basics
- Good communication and customer service skills
