We are recruiting for the Assistant Manager position in the UK Tax Reporting team with subject matter expertise in UK Corporate Tax and Accounting.
Working as an Assistant Manager in this team, your responsibilities will include:
•Provide group and statutory tax reporting and accounting services under a variety of GAAPs to a wide range of clients from large listed companies as well as the more complex mid-market, inbound and owner-managed businesses.•Perform the role of first reviewer on simple and medium complex activities and preparation of complex and super complex technical tax reporting engagements.•If desired, the role offers the opportunity to get involved in tax advisory and tax audit engagements to help build out your expertise and experience.•Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team based between India and the UK and acting as the day to day contact on engagements, liaising with the clients assigned.•Take responsibility for ensuring the tax disclosures are prepared to a high standard, on a timely basis and finalized and provided to the client within agreed deadlines.•Oversee the work of associates and senior associates, providing coaching and technical guidance as part of the overall review process whilst maintaining control of quality and timetables.•Provide support to the Tax Management and Leadership both in India and the UK with the implementation of various business strategies.•Identify opportunities for providing additional services to clients within your portfolio.•Contribute effectively to continuous improvement of the process.•Make use of available MI reports to manage your team and engagements as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Educational qualifications
•Degree from reputable university with excellent academic result.•Possession of a relevant UK qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, ATT, or CTA) would be highly desirable. (Please note that the business may require a successful applicant to start to pursue a UK tax qualification upon joining, if not already obtained).Work experience
•Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in tax accounting and reporting and possess strong knowledge of tax accounting in order to lead the engagements.Experience Level
