Job Description: SAP IM/WM (Inventory and Warehouse Management) Consultant

The IM/WM Consultant is responsible for understanding business requirements, interacting with stakeholders across business and IT teams, and delivering end-to-end solutions for inventory and warehouse operations. The role ensures high-quality implementations and support for inbound and outbound logistics processes while maintaining system stability and performance.

Technical Skills:
Inventory Management (IM) & Warehouse Management (WM) configuration and support
Inbound processes (Goods Receipt, Putaway, Quality Inspection integration)
Outbound processes (Picking, Packing, Goods Issue, Shipping integration)
IDOC monitoring and troubleshooting
Job scheduling and monitoring (background jobs, batch processing)
RF framework / mobile device integration (basic understanding)
Interface handling (IDOC, RFC, queues – basic knowledge)
Smartforms / Output determination (basic exposure)
Batch management and stock handling
Performance monitoring and optimization
Integration of Inventory Management with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP)

Functional Skills:
Experience in IM/WM implementation and roll-out projects
Strong understanding of inbound and outbound warehouse processes
Experience in handling 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) processes (basic understanding)
Incident, problem, and service request handling adhering to SLA
Root cause analysis and impact assessment
Support during project deployment and hypercare phases
Test case preparation, test data creation, and execution
Business process analysis and requirement gathering
Coordination with business users and cross-functional teams
