Our Professional Services team partners with P&C insurers worldwide to implement and optimize Guidewire’s cloud-based InsuranceSuite, turning complex business needs into production-ready solutions that deliver measurable value. You’ll join a global, collaborative team that blends deep insurance expertise with modern delivery methods.

As a Business Solution Architect, you will lead the overarching functional architecture and business solutions across large-scale enterprise implementations. You will look beyond a single system to orchestrate cohesive solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter , Digital and Data workstreams. You’ll translate complex, enterprise-wide P&C requirements into scalable InsuranceSuite designs that balance out-of-the-box capabilities with customer needs. This role sits at the center of Guidewire’s mission to transform how the world’s P&C insurers do business using core, analytics, AI, and cloud.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Lead Enterprise Discovery: Facilitate cross-functional workshops to capture end-to-end lifecycle needs, translating them into a cohesive functional architecture and clear user stories across InsuranceSuite.

• Architect Cross-Center Solutions: Design holistic configurations and workflows that seamlessly connect product models, underwriting rules, billing plans, and claims handling, using out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible to minimize technical debt.

• Drive Process & Gap Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis across the entire insurance value stream, recommending scalable solutions and reducing implementation effort.

• Bridge Business and Technology: Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Integration Architects, and data teams to define robust integrations between Guidewire centers and external systems (rating engines, payment gateways, bureaus, third-party data).

• Establish Functional Governance: Set the standard for Agile functional delivery across the program. Define capability models, backlog management strategies, traceability matrices, and acceptance criteria frameworks.

• Mentor and Guide: Act as a thought leader and mentor Business Analysts across various workstreams, ensuring alignment with the overarching functional vision and filed products.

• Leverage AI & Data: Use project data and feedback to refine configuration approaches, helping turn services-led innovation into repeatable offerings across customers and regions.

What you’ll bring

Required

• 10+ years of revelant functional experience in the P&C insurance domain, including proven experience operating at a Business Solutions Architect

• Multi-Center Expertise: Deep functional mastery of at least one core Guidewire application (e.g., PolicyCenter) with strong cross-center architectural knowledge of how policy, billing, and claims lifecycles intersect across InsuranceSuite.

• Holistic P&C Knowledge: Strong mastery of complex P&C concepts extending across underwriting, rating structures, Forms, Billing lifecycles, and Claims processes.

• Architectural Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the proven ability to analyze cross-system impacts and break down enterprise-level scenarios into practical, integrated solution options.

• Agile Leadership: Proven experience leading functional design within large Agile/Scrum programs, orchestrating requirements across multiple delivery teams.

• Stakeholder Management: Clear, confident communication and facilitation skills, capable of guiding C-suite business stakeholders and deeply technical integration teams to consensus.

• AI Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role, using data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

• Guidewire Certifications (e.g., Certified Ace across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter).

• Experience in Professional Services or consulting environments, with high commercial awareness of project timelines, economics, and value realization.

• Exposure to AI-enabled tools in software delivery (e.g., automated analysis, documentation generation, testing support, or configuration quality checks).

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Your Impact

We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will immerse yourself in our cross-center implementation methodology while partnering with program leadership on an active enterprise project. You’ll start by assessing the overarching functional landscape, establishing relationships with key customer product owners, executive sponsors, and our internal architectural teams.

Within your first 6 months, you will own the end-to-end functional architecture for the program, establishing governance that reduces cross-team rework, shortens time-to-value, and drives consistent, repeatable patterns across all Guidewire centers. Over time, your strategic guidance will directly influence how global insurers adopt Guidewire’s cloud and AI capabilities, cementing your role as a key driver of customer success and enterprise transformation in the P&C industry.
