We are hiring experienced engineers for an Industrial Development Project. The scope of work includes:

Concrete Roads (CC Roads)

Bituminous Roads

Drainage / Nala Construction

Sewer Line & Water Supply Line

Overhead Water Tank (OHT)

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

WTP (Water Treatment Plant)

Slab Culverts & Box Culverts

Hume Pipe Culverts

The candidate should have relevant experience in similar infrastructure projects.

Job Description for Civil Site Engineer in CC Road Construction:

1. Project Planning & Execution:

Assist in the development of project plans and timelines for the construction of CC roads.

Monitor and manage construction activities, ensuring they are on schedule.

2. Site Supervision:

Supervise day-to-day construction activities, including excavation, leveling, and laying of the concrete.

Ensure the correct proportions of cement, aggregates, and water are used during the mixing and laying process.

3. Quality Control:

Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Conduct tests on materials (e.g., concrete cubes, aggregates) to ensure they meet the required quality.

Monitor curing processes and ensure that the road attains the required strength.

4. Resource Management:

Oversee the use of equipment such as concrete mixers, compactors, and finishing tools.

Manage manpower, ensuring that workers are allocated efficiently and are following safety protocols.

5. Technical Support:

Provide technical advice and guidance to workers and contractors.

Resolve any on-site technical issues that may arise during the construction.

6. Coordination with Stakeholders:

Liaise with the project manager, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate with material suppliers for timely delivery and quality assurance of materials.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of work progress, material consumption, and quality checks.

Prepare daily/weekly reports on project progress and submit them to senior management.

8. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety protocols.

Implement measures to minimize environmental impact during road construction (dust control, proper disposal of waste, etc.).

9. Budget Management:

Assist in managing the project budget, ensuring that expenditures are within the allocated amounts.

10. Inspection & Testing:

Participate in inspection and testing phases to ensure that the constructed CC road meets quality and durability standards.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of concrete mix design and properties.

Familiarity with road construction techniques and standards.

Proficiency in civil engineering software and tools for planning and design.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to construction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Relevant experience in road or concrete construction projects.

Certifications in construction safety or project management (preferred).
