Job Description
Job Title: Operations Executive
Location: Avadi, Chennai
Job Type: Full-time, Work from Office
Salary: ₹15,000 per month
About the Role
We are a small online book store based in Avadi, Chennai. We are looking for a sincere and organised person to join our small team and help manage our day to day operations.
What you will be doing
- Supervising the printing and packing team and making sure work is done correctly and on time
- Checking books received from suppliers and flagging any damages or shortages
- Communicating with suppliers over email regarding damaged or missing stock and following up until resolved
- Keeping track of pending supplier orders and open damage claims
- Making sure packing staff do not mix up orders and that every order goes out correctly
- Planning and preparing for dispatch weeks in advance so nothing is missed
What we are looking for
- Someone who is detail oriented and does not let things slip
- Basic computer skills - comfortable using Google Sheets and email
- Ability to write clear emails in English
- Someone who can supervise and coordinate a small team
- Lives in or can commute to Avadi daily
- Prior experience in operations or logistics is a plus but not required
Working Hours
Monday to Saturday, full time
