Job Description Asset Manager ITSS Managed Services

Position Overview

The Asset Manager will oversee the endtoend lifecycle management of IT assets across entities ensuring compliance with ITSS policies accurate recordkeeping and alignment with governance and audit requirements This role is critical to maintaining asset visibility cost control and operational efficiency within the centralized IT Shared Services model

Key Responsibilities

Asset Lifecycle Management

oManage acquisition deployment allocation movement verification and decommissioning of IT assets

oEnsure imaging patching and deployment processes are centralized and automated

Asset Tracking

oMaintain accurate records in ITSSapproved ERP and ITSM systems

oConduct periodic audits and reconciliations to validate asset inventory

Compliance Governance

oSupport internalexternal audits and regulatory requirements

oEnsure adherence to ITSS governance cybersecurity and financial controls

Operational Coordination

oCollaborate with service desk NOC and field support teams for assetrelated requests

oCoordinate with facilities and vendors for asset logistics surplus handling and redeployment

Reporting Optimization

oProvide regular reports on asset utilization lifecycle status and compliance metrics

oRecommend optimization initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Required Skills Competencies

Strong knowledge of IT asset management frameworks and ERPITSM platforms

Should have handson experience working with UCMDB

Experience in inventory control lifecycle management and compliance reporting

Familiarity with audit processes governance models and ITIL practices

Analytical skills to identify optimization opportunities

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in IT Business Administration or related field

46 years of experience in IT asset management or service delivery

Certifications in ITIL ISO 19770 IT Asset Management or equivalent preferred

Performance Metrics

Accuracy of asset records in ITSS systems

SLA compliance for assetrelated requests and audits

Reduction in asset discrepancies and surplus costs

Timeliness of lifecycle management activities

Audit success rate and governance adherence
