Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Academic Sales Counselor to guide prospective students through the enrollment process. The role involves understanding student needs, recommending suitable academic programs, and driving admissions through effective counseling and relationship-building.
Responsibility
- Counsel prospective students and parents about academic programs, courses, and career pathways
- Handle inbound and outbound leads via calls, emails, and in-person meetings
- Understand student goals and recommend appropriate courses or programs
- Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment/sales targets
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and follow-ups in CRM systems
- Conduct follow-ups with interested candidates to convert leads into admissions
- Organize and participate in seminars, webinars, and admission events
- Collaborate with academic and marketing teams to improve conversion strategies
- Stay updated on course offerings, industry trends, and competitor programs
- Provide post-enrollment support to ensure student satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; education, business, or marketing preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, counseling, or academic advising (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Target-oriented mindset with a proven track record (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office
- Ability to handle multiple leads and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in EdTech, education counseling, or admissions
- Multilingual communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and active listening abilities
