Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Academic Sales Counselor to guide prospective students through the enrollment process. The role involves understanding student needs, recommending suitable academic programs, and driving admissions through effective counseling and relationship-building.

Responsibility

  • Counsel prospective students and parents about academic programs, courses, and career pathways
  • Handle inbound and outbound leads via calls, emails, and in-person meetings
  • Understand student goals and recommend appropriate courses or programs
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment/sales targets
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and follow-ups in CRM systems
  • Conduct follow-ups with interested candidates to convert leads into admissions
  • Organize and participate in seminars, webinars, and admission events
  • Collaborate with academic and marketing teams to improve conversion strategies
  • Stay updated on course offerings, industry trends, and competitor programs
  • Provide post-enrollment support to ensure student satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline; education, business, or marketing preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, counseling, or academic advising (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
  • Target-oriented mindset with a proven track record (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office
  • Ability to handle multiple leads and prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in EdTech, education counseling, or admissions
  • Multilingual communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and active listening abilities
