Job Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and supervising the day-to-day operations of the MEP manpower business. The role ensures timely deployment of skilled and unskilled manpower, effective client coordination, statutory compliance, workforce productivity, and smooth execution of contracts across multiple project sites while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily manpower operations across all project sites.
- Ensure timely mobilization, deployment, transfer, and demobilization of employees as per client requirements.
- Monitor attendance, manpower utilization, productivity, and workforce availability.
- Resolve operational issues to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Prepare operational reports, MIS, and performance dashboards for management.
- Client ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for client operational requirements.
- Attend client meetings and site visits regularly.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address client complaints and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manpower Planning & DeploymentCoordinate with the recruitment team for timely hiring based on project requirements.
- Ensure deployment of qualified and experienced MEP personnel including Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC Technicians, Lift Operators, Maintenance Technicians, Supervisors, Helpers, and other support staff.
- Monitor manpower shortages and arrange replacements immediately.
- Maintain manpower deployment records and site-wise employee data.
- Site OperationsConduct regular inspections of project sites.
- Ensure adherence to client SOPs and company policies.
- Monitor employee discipline, punctuality, grooming, and performance.
- Coordinate with Site Supervisors for smooth execution of daily activities.
- Ensure proper issuance and tracking of uniforms, ID cards, PPE, and company assets.
