Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Finance Data Advisory & Governance
The AVP – Finance Data Advisory & Governance acts as a strategic advisor to Finance leadership on finance data management, governance, and transformation. The role provides consultative guidance across insurance finance domains, shapes data strategy, and drives alignment with enterprise data and regulatory standards. This role influences outcomes through thought leadership rather than day-to-day operational execution.
Responsibilities
Advisory & Consulting Leadership
•    Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance, Risk, and senior stakeholders on finance data strategy, governance, and operating models.
•    Provide subject matter expertise on insurance finance data domains (GL, subledger, IFRS, Solvency II, management reporting).
•    Advise on data implications of finance transformation initiatives, system migrations, and regulatory change.
Data Governance & Standards
•    Define and evolve finance data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
•    Guide data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across regions and entities.
•    Review and challenge data quality metrics, controls, and remediation approaches.
Stakeholder & Program Oversight
•    Partner with senior Finance and IT leaders to ensure alignment between business objectives and data capabilities.
•    Provide oversight and direction to Senior Managers and delivery teams executing data initiatives.
•    Support audits, regulatory interactions, and executive-level forums related to finance data.
Thought Leadership & Transformation
•    Drive best practices in data management, transparency, and automation across insurance finance.
Contribute to long-term roadmaps for SAP S/4HANA, finance data platforms, and analytics enablement
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
•    Relevant years in insurance finance, finance data management, or finance transformation
•    Strong consulting or advisory background (internal or external)
•    Deep knowledge of insurance finance and regulatory reporting
•    Executive-level stakeholder management and communication
•    Strong understanding of SAP finance ecosystems and enterprise data architectures
