About the role

 

As an Inside Sales Business Development Rep, you will hunt, develop and close new business via internal activities such as cold calling and social selling. We will count on you to focus on the SMB market to drive new client acquisitions and delivery of Insight’s solutions. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Generate new business with companies in both software, hardware and services through various means of prospecting. 
  • Develop relationships with new clients at key stakeholder level 
  • Develop relationships with key vendor representatives 
  • Provide accurate pipeline information on opportunities on a weekly basis, this must include information on Revenue, GP and the expected close date 
  • Summarize monthly activity including wins, losses
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors, goods and services
  • Learn and maintain a high level of product, services and selling knowledge
  • Document plans for over-achievement of targets, include providing information on – prospecting, target accounts, revenue expectations, close dates and critical success factors.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Previous sales experience internal or external ideally in IT sales or solutions.
  • Product and licensing knowledge preferred
  • Telesales / Inside sales / Sales experience is desirable
  • Self-motivated and confident in cold calling customers and prospecting via social channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good business acumen, showing evidence of ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Good Time Management Skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ongoing interest to learn about and understand IT products.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
