EDD Expert Engineer - Design

 

A purpose driven role for you

The incumbent is responsible to design in his core domain as per approved model strategy state of art engines and technologies, further improve existing products and components, support the team engagement in engine technology and research related activities and ensures delivery within CTQ parameters. The incumbent is responsible to ensure alignment and integration of all simulation and analysis results in his designs as well as review of designs based on actual testing results and a constant dialog with manufacturing and assembly.

A Day in the life

Primary Responsible for Design of Cylinder Head, Cylinder Head Cover, Head Gasket, Breather system, Intake & Exhaust port design, Combustion chamber Design, Spark Plug etc. Responsible for 3D Modelling, 2D drawing, design calculations. Secondary responsibility for 3D Modelling, 2D drawing, design calculations of other engine components i.e. Crankcases, cylinder block, crankshaft, con rod, piston, bearing, valve train, rocker shaft, cam train, balancer system, air intake system, Muffler, transmission, shift system design, starter system, radiator, chain &tensioner system, oil seals, clutch, throttle body, CVT system etc. as per project requirements. Responsible for Design reports preparations, DFMEA, RCA (Root cause analysis), 8D analysis for failures, engine assy related support etc., Design Guidelines, Lesson Learnt

Academic Qualification & Experience

Engineering Diploma/B.E/B. Tech/ M Tech (Mechanical Engineering)

● 9-13 Years in Automotive Industry

● R&D 2W preferable - Engineering Diploma/B.E/B. Tech/ M Tech (Mechanical Engineering)

Technical Skills/Knowledge

● Knowledge and proven experience in 2W Engine Design ● Expertise on design software preferably CATIA & Team centre (PLM). ● Expertise on hand calculation sheets (Design calculations), stack up calculations etc. ● Exposure on other design/simulation software i.e. AVL Fire, Star CCM etc will be additional advantage. ● Proficiency in Drawing checking ● Sound knowledge on global technology trends ● High level of production/manufacturing understanding ● Familiar and experienced in using presentation.
● Knowledge and proven experience in 2W Engine Design
