QA/QC Engineer – Focuses on monitoring site quality, ensuring adherence to IS codes, and maintaining quality documentation.

Core Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering is standard.
• Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, using measurement instruments, and understanding IS/ASTM codes.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail for spot-checking workmanship and strong communication for coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.
• Material Inspection & Testing: Verifying the quality of incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates) against supplier certificates. Common on-site tests include:
• Concrete: Slump tests for workability and cube casting for compressive strength.
• Soil: Compaction (Proctor) and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests.
• Asphalt/Steel: Temperature control and tensile strength verification.

• Documentation Management: Maintaining detailed records like the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), material registers, and daily quality reports.
• Non-Conformance Control: Identifying defects and issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) or Site Observation Reports (SOR) to trigger corrective actions.
• Audit & Compliance: Ensuring project adherence to international and local standards, such as ISO 9001 and specific IS Codes.
