Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks, strong basic machine design knowledge, and a solid understanding of machining processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing manufacturing drawings, and supporting production activities.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
• Design mechanical components and assemblies based on functional requirements
• Apply basic machine design principles in product development
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes
• Coordinate with manufacturing and machining teams to ensure design feasibility
• Modify and optimize designs based on production feedback
• Maintain proper design documentation and revision control
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, and Drawing modules)
• Strong understanding of machine elements (shafts, bearings, gears, fasteners, etc.)
• Good knowledge of machining processes such as:
• 
  
• Turning
• Milling
• Drilling
• Grinding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and fits
• Preferred Skills (Optional)Experience with sheet metal or weldment design
• Familiarity with ISO/ASME drawing standards
• Exposure to ERP or PLM systems
• Knowledge of cost-effective design and manufacturability (DFM)
