Family Care Manager

Role Overview:

The Family Care Manager (FCM) plays a critical role in supporting elderly parents living in India and maintaining transparent, compassionate coordination with their children living abroad (NRIs). This role requires a high degree of empathy, patience, proactive thinking, and excellent communication skills. The FCM ensures parents receive consistent medical, personal, and emotional support while keeping family members well-informed and reassured.

Key Responsibilities:

Support to Parents

• Assist with scheduling doctor’s appointments, diagnostic tests, therapy visits, and other medical services.
• Coordinate and help fulfill prescription refills and medication purchases.
• Maintain and organize medical files, reports, prescriptions, and treatment histories.
• Conduct home visits to check on parents’ health, comfort, daily needs, and general wellbeing.
• Provide additional health-related support as needed (e.g., arranging physiotherapy, nursing, or caregiving).
• Accompany parents to hospitals, doctor consultations, and follow-up visits.
• Support with hospital admission and discharge processes, ensuring proper documentation and continuity of care.
• Respond and assist during medical or unexpected emergencies by coordinating immediate help and communicating effectively.
• Conduct scheduled wellbeing calls at least twice a week and document observations.
• Support the parent with non medical tasks once in a while as required

Support to NRI Family Members:

• Provide regular health status updates and ensure clear, ongoing communication with children living abroad.
• Maintain the application profile, ensuring parent information, reports, prescriptions, and documentation are always up to date.
• Serve as the reliable point of contact for any updates, concerns, emergencies, or service coordination.
• Foster trust and emotional reassurance by demonstrating care, patience, reliability, and professionalism.
