Job description for Jr interior designer

We are looking for an artful Jr Interior Designer to undertake a variety of space designing projects.

As an interior designer your role would involve collaborating with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements, creating design concepts and mood boards, developing detailed design plans and layouts, selecting furniture, fixtures, and finishes, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and overseeing the implementation of the design project.

The goal is to design practical spaces but yet visually pleasing.

Skills and qualifications

Excellent artistic abilities and creativity.

Significant project management experience.

Diverse and in-depth portfolio of interior design work.

Ability to stay organized and focused on long projects.

Strong communication skills, and a willingness to work on a team.

Key responsibilities may include:

1. Meeting with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.

2. Developing design concepts and presenting them to clients for approval.

3. Creating detailed drawings, mood boards, and 3D renderings to visualize the design.

4. Selecting furniture, lighting, fabrics, and accessories that align with the design concept.

5. Coordinating with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

6. Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

7. Conducting site visits to oversee the installation and implementation of the design.

8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the interior design industry.
