Office Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, developing Bills of Quantities (BoQ), and generating bills by collecting and analyzing data from project sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions and project requirements.
• BoQ Preparation
• Develop accurate Bills of Quantities for mechanical works.
• Coordinate with design and site teams to validate material requirements.
• Maintain records of quantities and ensure alignment with project budgets.
• Billing & Site Data Collection
• Collect and verify data from site engineers and supervisors.
• Prepare interim and final bills based on executed work and site measurements.
• Ensure timely submission of bills with supporting documentation.
• Coordination & Compliance
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Provide technical support during project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and construction practices.
• Experience in preparing BoQ and bills for mechanical works.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with site measurement techniques and billing procedures.
