Quantity Surveyor - Civil Finishes

Overview : We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Civil

Finishes to oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and billing for civil finishing

projects. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, knowledge

of construction materials, and proficiency in BOQ preparation.

Key Responsibilities :

A Quantity Estimation

1. Calculate material quantities and prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for civil finishing

works such as flooring, tiling, painting, false ceilings, wall finishes, and other interior

works.

2.Conduct site measurements and verify contractor/subcontractor work.

B Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

1 Estimate project costs and prepare cost analysis reports.

2 Assist in budget preparation and monitor costs to avoid overruns.

C Billing & Documentation:

1 Prepare interim and final bills for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

2 Verify contractor bills and ensure compliance with the approved BOQ.

3 Maintain records of material consumption and wastage.

D Tendering & Contract Management:

1 Assist in preparing tender documents, contract agreements, and rate analysis.

2 Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate pricing.

E Site Coordination & Verification:

1 Conduct regular site visits to check material consumption and work progress.

2 Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors for timely execution.

F Compliance & Reporting:

1 Ensure work is executed as per project specifications and quality standards.

2 Prepare progress reports and submit cost reports to management.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

3-7 years of experience in civil finishing works.

Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and material take-offs.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask efficiently
