General Manager - Container Marketing
Responsibilities
Market Intelligence:
Assess the broader business landscape to pinpoint emerging opportunities, taking into account sector-specific policies and global trade trends.
Strategic Growth:
Formulate and execute strategies to attract businesses to the terminal, focusing on securing long-term commitments that contribute to the terminal's growth.
Forecasting and Planning:
Support the in forecasting cargo trends and strategizing facility expansions or enhancements to meet future demands.
Brand Management:
Promote the terminal's services through various marketing channels to strengthen brand presence and customer engagement.
Contract Management:
Assist the Contract Manager with project cost estimation, business case preparation, sensitivity analysis for bids, and proposal follow-ups for revenue works.
Outsouring Mangement:
Contract negotiation, finalisation and administration
Proposal Development:
Craft proposal strategies, create business case models in Excel, and manage proposal submissions and evaluations with input from various teams.
Business Case Modelling:
Build interactive models for evaluating tenders and revenue works.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and sustain client and partner relationships, ensuring proposals meet their needs. Strategize for client retention and proactive issue resolution.
Risk Management:
Ensure proposals comply with standards and regulations, working with legal and tax teams. Apply quality control for accurate and professional proposals.
Digital Mindset:
Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
Key Stakeholders - Internal:
CEO - Ports, Head - Business Development - Container Terminal, Other Departments - HoDs, Direct reportees
Key Stakeholders - External:
Prospective clients, government and regulatory bodies, Trade groups, Comptetiors
Qualifications
Experience & Educational Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required) | MBA/PGDM in Marketing |
| RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) | 15-20 years Exp in Port, shipping or Logistics industry, Preferably Container Marketing |
