Field Technician

Role and Responsibility

• Install and configure IoT devices at customer sites as per technical specifications
• Perform commissioning and ensure proper device connectivity (Wi-Fi, LAN, SIM-based)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in IoT systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of devices
• Repair or replace faulty components and ensure minimal downtime
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper device placement and wiring
• Maintain service reports, installation records, and daily activity log
• Coordinate with backend/technical teams for issue resolution
• Provide basic training or guidance to clients on device usage
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during field work

Qualification

• Diploma/ITI in electrical and related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, wiring, and circuit understanding
• Familiarity with IoT devices, sensors, and controllers
• Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, routers, SIM connectivity)
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
• Good communication and reporting skills
