Sales Associate / Salesman – Boutique

Role Overview:

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, driving store sales, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring smooth daily store operations.

• Customer Service & SalesGreet and assist customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable outfits.
• Provide accurate size guidance, styling advice, and fit suggestions.
• Upsell and cross-sell products (dupattas, additional kurtis, styling suggestions, etc.).
• Demonstrate fabric knowledge, garment features, and styling options.
• Handle customer queries, objections, and price negotiations professionally.
• Maintain strong convincing and communication skills to convert walk-ins into buyers.
• Build customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.

Product Knowledge

• Maintain strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, fits, and sizing.
• Understand colour combinations and colour theory to assist customers.
• Explain garment care, styling tips, and product details confidently.

 Inventory & Stock Management

• Conduct daily stock checking and inventory maintenance.
• Ensure correct stock counts, tagging, and barcode scanning.
• Report low stock, missing items, or discrepancies to the store manager.
• Maintain stockroom organization and proper product categorization.

Damage & Quality

• CheckCheck all garments for damage, stains, loose threads, missing buttons, or defects.
• Immediately report damaged pieces and separate them from saleable stock.

 Visual Merchandising

Maintain attractive store displays, rack arrangements, and outfit pairings.

• Assist in window display design and mannequin styling.
• Ensure garments are displayed neatly according to colour coordination and collection theme.
• Keep store visually appealing and aligned with the boutique’s aesthetic.

Store Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
• Ensure clothes are properly folded, steamed (if required), and arranged.
• Keep trial rooms clean and organized.

 Trial Room Assistance

• Assist customers with sizes, styling, and alternate options.
• Monitor the number of garments taken into the trial room.
• Ensure garments are returned, folded, and placed back correctly.

Billing Support

• Assist with billing, packaging, and order preparation.
• Ensure correct product tagging and price verification.

Team Coordination

• Work closely with the store manager and team members.
• Communicate customer feedback

Store Discipline & Professionalism

• Maintain professional appearance and grooming.
• Be punctual and follow store timings and duties.
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork within the store
