Job Description

The High Performance Compute (HPC) team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to work as part of the Program Management Office. The HPC PMO has oversight of the NPI development process, IP process and 3rd party management process and additionally partners with stakeholders to drive change initiatives and continuous improvement across HPC and in the wider Renesas organization. Additionally, the team form a consolidated view of execution across HPC acting as a central conduit for escalation and resolution of cross portfolio issues.

This role will have a broad and varied remit; with potential to Program Manage vendor selection for IP and outsource contracts, direct NPI development, continuous improvement initiatives, and change management. Critical aspects of the role include execution on given timelines, program budget responsibility, program escalation path ownership, monitoring and reporting of program progress, comparison of performance against goals (technical and commercial), as well as overall program ownership and accountability. Leadership of cross functional teams including senior stakeholders and communication with internal executive leadership is expected. HPC is distributed globally including Japan, India, Vietnam, and United States.

Responsibilities:

• Complete responsibility for the given programs with strong exposure to executive leadership from Renesas and key partners
• Establish, drive, and maintain the overall program plan including regular program reporting to both internal and external teams
• Define all milestones and track on a regular basis. Highlight issues and build options for mitigation/resolution. Ensure risk analysis is complete and maintained including options and trigger dates.
• Organize and hold regular Core Team meetings. Create regular data driven updates for internal and external consumers
• Lead cross functional teams across multiple locations to deliver the program.
• Maintain program budgets and highlight changes against the plan.
• Suggest and deliver process improvements in conjunction with HPC PMO and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience managing large multi-disciplined global semiconductor product delivery teams
• A strong understanding of what great semiconductor program management looks like
• Strives for continual improvement in all aspects of work including policies and methodology.
• Experience of effecting change in large organizations
• Strong experience managing multi-national teams across timezones and native languages
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address the real root cause of issues
• Rapid response – identifying issues in advance, and the right owners to address these
• Tenacity – continual follow up to get the job done
• Ability to propose innovative solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Japanese language skills would be preferred
