We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Catering Manager to take complete charge of Azad Mithai's Industrial Catering Division at Sanand GIDC. This is a leadership role requiring full ownership — from kitchen operations, quality, and staffing to client acquisition, dispatch, and profitability. Candidates must have prior experience in industrial, institutional, or contract catering.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Development — Identify and onboard new industrial / GIDC clients; grow the customer base actively

2. Client Relationship Management — Regular visits and meetings with existing and new clients; resolve feedback promptly

3. Food Quality & Standards — Maintain consistent taste, hygiene, and presentation per company and FSSAI standards

4. Quantity & Production Planning — Accurate daily meal planning and scheduling to prevent shortfall or surplus

5. Staff Management — Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen and delivery team for best output

6. Timely Dispatch — Ensure all meals are prepared, packed, and delivered on time to every client daily

7. Cost Control & Wastage — Monitor food and operating costs; minimise wastage at every production stage

8. Profitability — Own the division P&L; ensure revenue targets and profit margins are achieved monthly

9. Procurement & Inventory — Manage raw material buying, vendor coordination, and daily stock management

10. Daily Reporting — Submit production, dispatch, cost, and client feedback reports to management daily

 

ELIGIBILITY & EXPERIENCE

•   Minimum 3–5 years in industrial catering, institutional food service, or contract catering — mandatory

•   Experience managing catering for factories, GIDC units, or corporate canteens strongly preferred

•   Proven record in new client acquisition and account retention

•   Experience leading kitchen teams of 5 or more staff

•   Knowledge of FSSAI hygiene and food safety standards

•   Good communication in Gujarati and Hindi

•   Own transport preferred for client visits in Sanand GIDC

•   Ability to work independently with full ownership mindset

 

WORKING HOURS & CONDITIONS

Start — kitchen setup & prep

Close — cleanup & next-day plan

During initial setup phase (3 months)

 

Startup Phase Commitment: For the first 3 months while operations are being established, extended hours and no weekly off will be required. Once the division is stable, a weekly off will be introduced and hours normalised. This is a high-effort, high-reward role suited for someone who wants to build something from the ground up.
