- About- BD Industries BDI Group (of companies) is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified organization manufacturing plastic products in Mumbai since over 35 years. We manufacture over 500 products and cater to 8 different industries including custom rotational moulding. We are vendors to leading automotive companies for fuels tanks, in-cab parts, fenders, roof tops, ad blue tanks etc. BDI also manufactures various kinds of road barriers and other allied products for the safety industry. For material handling products we manufacture the entire range of plastic pallets (with foam/ without foam/with steel reinforcement). Dustbins, Twin bins, Garbage Chutes, Hospital furniture are some of the other products BDI does. Our speciality lies in custom moulding and developing newer concepts and products right from the “sketch off a napkin”. With 5 plants in western, northern and southern India, BDI is well poised to serve customers PAN India.
- Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication and assembly of SS tanks, vessels, hoppers, and process equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication layouts
- Perform cutting, fitting, grinding, drilling, and alignment activities
- Work on stainless steel fabrication including SS304 and SS316 materials
- Ensure proper welding edge preparation and fit-up before welding
- Coordinate with welding and production teams for timely completion
- Check dimensions, alignment, and quality during fabrication
- Handle fabrication tools, machines, grinders, gas cutting, and measuring instruments
- Follow safety standards and maintain shop floor discipline
- Support production team in achieving daily targets
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of SS fabrication and tank fabrication
- Experience in fabrication of pharma or industrial process equipment
- Ability to read fabrication drawings independently
- Knowledge of sheet metal and structural fabrication
- Familiarity with TIG/MIG welding coordination
- Understanding of fabrication tolerances and finishing standards
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Preferred Candidate ProfileITI / Fabrication Trade / Welder / Fitter qualification preferred
- Experience in:
- Boiler manufacturing companies
- Pharma equipment manufacturing companies
- SS tank manufacturing companies
- Industrial equipment fabrication companies
- Candidates from Pune or nearby industrial areas preferred
