Job Description
- 1. Operations & Workshop Management Workflow Optimization: Oversee end-to-end workshop throughput, vehicle turnaround time (TAT), bay productivity, and technician efficiency.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure full compliance with Bajaj Auto’s service guidelines, technical standards, and safety norms.
- Equipment & Infrastructure: Maintain calibration and readiness of workshop machinery, diagnostic equipment, special service tools (SSTs), and lift systems.
- Capacity Planning: Manage load planning during peak seasons, service campaigns, and new vehicle launch surges.
- 2. P&L & Financial Management Revenue Targets: Drive workshop revenue through labor charges, paid services, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), extended warranties, and Bajaj Genuine Accessories/Spares.
- Cost Control: Manage operational expenditure, workshop overheads, warranty claims management, and utility costs.
- Parts & Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the Spares Manager to ensure optimal stocking levels of high-demand replacement parts to reduce vehicle downtime.
- 3. Customer Retention & Quality Assurance: CSAT & Net Promoter Score (NPS): Monitor and consistently improve customer satisfaction scores through high first-time-fix rates and repair quality.
- Escalation Handling: Directly address and resolve critical or escalated customer complaints, technical failures, and repeat job issues.
- Customer Retention Programs: Implement customer callback systems, post-service feedback loops, and recall/service campaign initiatives.
- 4. Team Leadership & Technical Capability: Staff Management: Supervise and mentor Service Advisors, Works Managers, Floor Supervisors, Warranty Executives, and Technicians.
- Skill Development & Training: Coordinate with Bajaj Auto’s Area Service Manager (ASM) to ensure technicians receive regular technical and product updates (especially for new offerings like Chetak EV or premium bikes).
- Performance Evaluations: Set clear KPIs (Revenue, Bay Utilization, Re-work Rate, CSAT) and conduct regular performance reviews.
- 5. OEM Liaison & Compliance (Bajaj Auto)OEM Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for Bajaj Auto's Area Service Managers (ASM) and Regional Service Heads.
- Warranty Claims & Audits: Oversee warranty claim processing and audits to minimize rejections and ensure compliance with Bajaj Auto policies.
- Field Problem Reporting: Submit technical reports and field failure data to Bajaj’s R&D/Product Support teams for product quality enhancements.
