Job Description
An AC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance. Key responsibilities include diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults, performing preventative maintenance (cleaning, filter changes), repairing components like compressors and motors, and providing customer service.
- Installation & Repair: Installing, servicing, and replacing AC units, heat pumps, compressors, and motors.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Maintenance: Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure energy efficiency and safety.
- System Testing: Testing pipe or tubing joints, inspecting connections, and calibrating thermostats.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate service records, updating repair logs, and adhering to safety codes.
- Customer Service: Communicating with clients to explain issues, provide recommendations, and offer cost estimates.
