Role Overview: As an Accountant you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. The role involves handling financial transactions, maintaining records, supporting compliance, and contributing to the overall financial efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, invoices, and receipts

● Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently

● Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

● Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

● Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GST filings, and statutory requirements

● Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during audits

● Monitor expenses and suggest cost-control measures

● Manage payroll processing and related compliance

● Support management with financial insights and reports for decision-making

Key Skills:

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

● Proficiency in accounting tools such as Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks

● Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation regulations

● Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

● High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

● Good communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com preferred)

● 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience

● CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates preferred

● Experience working in startups or the edtech industry is a plus
