Role Description -Junior Interior Desinger

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1.         The Interior Designer will be responsible for space planning, creating construction drawings, and designing interior spaces for both residential and commercial projects.

2.       Additionally, the Interior Designer will be involved in selecting and specifying FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).

3.       Project Planning: Assist in developing architectural designs, from conceptual sketches to detailed plans.

4.       Design Execution: Support lead architects in creating innovative and functional design solutions.

5.       Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, interior design, and construction.

6.       Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, correspondence, and project milestones.

7.       Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and communicate project progress.

8.       To own the Sales funnel & drive Sales Closure

9.       To own Customer Experience during a project

10.     To lead and own quality & accuracy of design deliverables.

11.       To own an end to end Project lifecycle.

12.      Collaborate with senior Architect/ designers to produce detailed drawings, mood boards, and 3D visualizations for client presentations.

13.     Conduct research on materials, furnishings, and design trends to contribute innovative ideas to projects.

14.      Assist in space planning and layout design to optimize functionality and flow within interior spaces.

15.     Support in selecting furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories that align with the overall design concept and budget.

16.     Assist in site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

17.      Provide general administrative support such as organizing project files, maintaining sample libraries, and updating project schedules.

18.     For projects under your management, you must accompany the clients for the material selections and be willing to accommodate this activity into your schedule.

Site Execution Reporting & monitoring

1.         For projects under your management, you would be required to visit your sites once a week or as required.

2.       Conducting weekly or bi-weekly project reviews with contractor, Daily Project Monitoring, Certify work & bills as per site progress.

3.       Make & Check Site reports basis work progress.

4.       Coordinate and follow up with vendors, contractors, clients, speciality consultants as per project needs.

5.       Comply with commitments on deliverables to clients and following up on the same.

6.       You may be required to periodically visit the workshops/ factories to ensure attention to finer details and proportions.

7.       Any other project work assigned by the Principal or Administrator.

8.       All kind of communication and work must be carried out with the express consent and approval of the Principal or Administrator.

9.       Ability to Draft MOM after every client meeting.

Qualifications

1.         Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

2.       Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cohoom, Enscape 3D, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit.

3.       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

4.       Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics, color, and spatial arrangements.

5.       Basic understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and materials.
