Interior Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Interior Draftsperson who is proficient in BIM software to join our design team. Experience in Vectorworks is highly preferred. You will work closely with our principal designers to translate conceptual designs into detailed, technically sound drawings for interior projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D/3D drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, details, millwork) using Vectorworks BIM.
• Develop and maintain BIM models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards.
• Generate schedules for finishes, fixtures, equipment, and interior elements from the BIM model.
• Collaborate with Designers to translate design intent into technical documentation.
• Prepare presentation drawings and renderings.
• Maintain project drawing files and documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows.
• Stay updated on Vectorworks features and industry best practices.
• Contribute to problem-solving and value engineering.
• Communicate drawing progress and issues to the project team.
• Ensure drawings comply with building codes and regulations.
• Potentially assist with site visits for measurements and verification.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Interior Draftsperson, with a portfolio demonstrating technical drawing and detailing proficiency.
• Expert-level proficiency in Vectorworks BIM is preferred.
• Solid understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and construction detailing.
• Familiarity with other BIM software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with rendering software (e.g., Vectorworks Renderworks, Enscape, Twinmotion) is a plus.
