Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager / Director of Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our HR department, ensuring that our day-to-day operations run smoothly.
You will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from attracting top talent to ensuring they are paid accurately and feel engaged within the company. We are looking for someone who is not just an administrator, but a people-person who can handle the complexities of compliance (like PF payments) while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & HiringTalent Sourcing: Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and create compelling job descriptions.
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
- Onboarding: Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation (contracts, NDAs, and offer letters) is completed prior to the start date.
- Background Checks: Coordinate reference checks and verification of credentials.
- 2. Payroll & CompensationPayroll Processing: Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
- Data Management: Maintain and update payroll records, tracking overtime, bonuses, leaves, and deductions.
- Reconciliation: Liaise with the Finance department to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any payroll discrepancies promptly.
- 3. PF (Provident Fund) & Statutory CompliancePF Administration: Handle the administration of Provident Fund (PF), including monthly submissions, reconciliation of PF accounts, and ensuring timely payment to the authorities.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations, including PF, ESI, and Income Tax (TDS) related to payroll.
- Documentation: Maintain and update PF records, prepare challans, and handle employee queries regarding PF withdrawals and statements.
- 4. Employee Engagement & RelationsCulture Building: Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, wellness programs, and recognition awards.
- Retention: Monitor employee satisfaction and morale, implementing strategies to improve retention rates.
- Grievance Handling: Serve as the first point of contact for employee grievances, mediating conflicts and ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
- Feedback: Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to gather feedback and identify trends for improvement.
- 5. General HR AdministrationHRIS Management: Maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Reporting: Generate HR reports (headcount, attrition, payroll summaries) for senior management.
- Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA (HR) is a plus.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with payroll software, HRMS, and MS Office Suite (Excel is a must).
- Core Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, PF, ESI, and tax regulations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Key CompetenciesAttention to Detail: High accuracy in payroll and compliance calculations.
- Multitasking: Ability to juggle recruitment, payroll deadlines, and employee queries simultaneously.
