Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee/Assistant Manager, SCM - Buying Procurement Specialist

Responsible for handling requisition and purchase activities, creating and distributing purchase orders, utilizing purchasing cards (p-cards), reconciling purchase orders, and researching and resolving order exceptions. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Plan, create, change, and complete purchase orders within SAP. PR to PO
• Requisition & Purchase (Direct):
• Review and process requisitions from various departments within the company.
• Create and distribute purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and supplier agreements.
• Utilize purchasing cards (p-cards) for specific transactions, adhering to company guidelines and financial regulations.
• Monitor/Manage Supplier Information:
• Maintain up-to-date supplier information, including contact details, product offerings, and contractual agreements.
• Regularly communicate with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and resolve any supply-related issues.
• Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with suppliers to improve service quality and delivery efficiency.
• Reconcile Purchase Orders:
• Reconcile purchase orders with supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Work closely with the finance team to verify and approve supplier payments based on reconciled purchase orders.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the CPG food industry.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools SAP and Ariba.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier management and internal collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
