Job Title: Placement Officer

Job Description:

The Placement Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust relationships with industry partners to secure internships, apprenticeships, and job placements for our students. This role requires a proactive approach in understanding the needs of both students and industry to tailor placement opportunities that benefit both parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry leaders, HR departments, and recruitment teams to ensure a continuous stream of opportunities for students.
  • Placement Coordination: Arrange and coordinate placements, internships, and job opportunities for students and alumni. Monitor placements and conduct follow-ups to ensure both student and employer satisfaction.
  • Career Counseling: Provide guidance and counseling to students regarding career options, resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of career-related programs and workshops that enhance students' employability skills.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student placements, feedback, and outcomes to assist in reporting and program improvements.
  • Market Research: Conduct regular research to stay updated with the latest trends in the job market and industry demands.
  • Networking and Outreach: Represent the company at various career fairs, seminars, and networking events to promote our programs and develop further partnerships.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from students and employers post-placement to refine and improve the placement process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the educational and administrative staff to ensure alignment of educational content with industry requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, career services, or a similar role, preferably in an educational or tech-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of job market trends, professional development, and recruitment processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using career services software and common office software.
