Job Description

Knowledge and Functions of the specific Cooking Methods (Indian/ Chinese/ Oriental) and Equipment's Prepare food based on orders received as per SOPs. Ensure the order, storage, preparation SOPs are strictly followed. Ensure preparation of ingredients for Senior chefs e.g. Washing, Peeling, Chopping, Grating etc. Ensure dish ingredients and portion sizes are measured accurately. Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen stations and equipment's required for the food preparation process Assist CDP/ DCDP to ensure each staff member in the assigned section is trained on the Kitchen equipment operation and maintenance. Responsible for arrangement of food in the storage and refrigerator to ensure minimal wastage of raw materials or food. Ensure the Unit Chef/ Unit Head are informed in time about the stock of ingredients required on the basis of current availability. Understanding of Perishable and Non Perishable Food & Beverage ingredients Posses detailed skills and knowledge of specific Indian, Oriental and world cuisine Knowledge of Food Safety and Food Quality fundamentals Knowledge of portions, signs, presentation, aroma etc
