Python / React Software Development Engineer in Test

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented Software Engineer UI Test Engineer with experience in manual and automation testing, including hands on exposure to AI-driven test tools and MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of UI/UX quality, proficiency in designing test cases and automation scripts, and experience working in fast-paced Agile environments. Familiarity with API testing and modern testing frameworks is a strong advantage.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India, development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

•  Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, functional, integration, and E2E testing.
• Implement UI automation using modern frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebDriverIO, or equivalent).
• Leverage AI and agentic tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, autonomous test agents, AI‑based test generation) to accelerate automation development and improve test coverage.
•  Perform deep root-cause analysis, document findings, and implement preventive and self‑healing solutions.
•  Integrate automated functional and UI testing into CI/CD pipelines with scalable orchestration.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for build quality, test execution, failure analytics, performance trends, and reliability metrics.
• Drive adoption of new technologies, AI-driven testing methods, and modern quality engineering practices.

About You:

• 6 to 7 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer or Automation Developer.
• Strong expertise in UI automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent and Proficiency with API automation and service-level testing.
• Hands‑on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, generative test tools, autonomous agents).
• Experienced with CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, or CodeDeploy.
• Strong programming skills in React, Python, C#,or Golang.
• Nice to have experience with infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Solid debugging experience with tools like Fiddler, NetMon, PerfMon, etc.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, RDS/MySQL, Kubernetes, Docker) and experience with agentic automation and AI-driven QA tooling.
