Fire Safety Technician

Job Summary:A Fire Safety Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection systems to ensure they function properly and comply with safety regulations. Their role is critical in preventing fire hazards and ensuring quick response in case of emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Install fire protection systems such as:

Fire alarms

Smoke detectors

Sprinkler systems

Fire extinguishers

Fire hydrant systems

Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire safety equipment

Identify faults and carry out repairs or replacements

Ensure all systems comply with fire safety codes and standards

Maintain service records, inspection logs, and compliance reports

Assist in fire risk assessments and safety audits

Support emergency response systems and troubleshoot issues

Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and safety officers

Ensure proper labeling, accessibility, and readiness of equipment

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Safety Engineering

Certification in fire safety systems (preferred)

Basic knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes

Experience in installation and maintenance of fire protection systems

Ability to read technical drawings and system layouts
