Position Overview

Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Associate Structural and Payload System Design Engineer – Programming/Automation to join Design Methods team in Chennai, India. You would be part of a global team working on providing Design Automation solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.

Position Responsibilities:

This role is a synergy of design engineering and software development. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Proficient in conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
• Develop, test, debug, and document CAD/CAM software.
• Developing and implementing software solutions to meet real-time test requirements.
• You will work in a general direction as part of an agile development team.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
• Ability to develop new and innovative applications as well as maintain existing code.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated, flexible and creative.
• Manages development, test and production activities and coordinates with Commodity Teams to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge on HTML5, CSS3, Python, Javascript, JQuery, or AJAX
• Familiarity with CATIA CAA (Component Application Architecture), and PyCATIA
• Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and engineering component design.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical/Computer Science)
• Experience using ENOVIA, CATIA, PDM
• Proficient in developing CATIA Macros
• DDD (Domain Driven Design) approach/API first approach is preferred
• Django Framework knowledge is an added advantage.
• Familiar with Visual Studio.
• Familiar with GitLab for source control management
• Familiar with Azure DevOps, Azure/AWS cloud
