About the Role:
Deccan Food Ventures LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day billing, bookkeeping, and financial documentation. The candidate will also assist in overseeing basic factory operations and HR-related coordination. This is a cross-functional role suited for someone with a strong accounting background who can also support operational tasks in a growing FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Billing (80–90% of the role):
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in Tally/Zoho Books.
- Generate and issue GST-compliant sales and purchase invoices.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly GST returns.
- Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
- Record stock movements for packaging materials and finished goods.
- Manage petty cash and employee expense tracking.
- Follow up on collections from distributors and retail clients.
Factory Coordination & HR Support (10–20% of the role):
- Maintain staff attendance and leave records.
- Organize and update basic HR documentation, such as joining forms and ID records.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Track and support procurement of packaging and office materials.
- Assist with compliance documentation, vendor coordination, and internal reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.Com or M.Com preferred
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; prior experience in FMCG or manufacturing is an advantage
- Proficiency in Tally or Zoho Books, and Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and accounting best practices
- Basic understanding of payroll or HR administration
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently and work proactively
