Business Development Manager (BDM)
Industry: Coffee Manufacturing & Retail Chain
Job Overview: The Business Development Manager will drive growth for the coffee brand by expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and increasing sales across both manufacturing distribution and retail outlets. The role requires a mix of sales strategy, relationship management, and brand expansion expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities in B2B (cafes, hotels, distributors) and B2C retail markets
- Develop and execute growth strategies for both packaged coffee products and retail stores
- Expand brand presence in new cities/regions
2. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Drive bulk sales for coffee beans, powders, and related products
- Increase revenue from retail outlets through promotions and partnerships
3. Client & Partnership Management
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and HoReCa (Hotels/Restaurants/Cafes) clients
- Negotiate contracts and close high-value deals
- Maintain long-term partnerships for repeat business
4. Market Research & Analysis
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences
- Identify pricing strategies and product positioning opportunities
5. Brand Expansion
- Support new store launches and franchise development
- Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns and promotions
- Strengthen brand visibility in both offline and online channels
6. Team Coordination
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and retail teams
- Ensure smooth product availability and delivery timelines
- Required Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of FMCG / food & beverage industry (coffee preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Strategic thinking and market analysis skills
- Ability to work with targets and deadlines
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- MBA preferred
- 2–5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in FMCG, coffee, or retail
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Revenue growth
