Position: Senior – GL Close/FP&A/Investment Accounting/Reg Reporting/Financial Accounting

Location: Gurgaon/Bengaluru/Noida/Pune

Experience: 6-8 Years

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior with6-8 years of progressive accounting and financial planning experience to support our financial operations and contribute to financial transformation projects. The successful candidate will assist with general ledger close processes, month-end accounting operations, investment accounting, and financial planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chart of Accounts Mapping & Redesign: Design, implement, optimize Chart of Accounts structures that align with reporting requirements. Support CoA mapping during ERP implementations, ensuring seamless data translation.
• Management of GL Close Activities: Execute GL close and month-end accounting cycles, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statement preparation. Perform journal entries reviews, reconciliation procedures and account analyses to ensure financial statement integrity. Assist with inter-company eliminations, consolidation adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investment Accounting Operations Support investment accounting operations, including security transactions, valuations, reconciliations, and reporting. Prepare investment performance reports, reconcile investment holdings and manage regulatory compliance for investment portfolios.
• Transformation Initiatives: Support strategic finance transformation programs, including ERP implementations, system migrations, and digital process redesign.
• Comprehensive As-Is Assessments: Contribute to assessments of current Finance processes, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and finance close, utilize process mapping and modelling tools viz. Visio, ARIS and identify areas for improvement.
• Technology Transformation: Support automation of close processes and eliminate legacy systems through process redesign. Implement advanced accounting platforms viz. Workday, Workiva, Blackline, Tagetik, Trintech and support finance transformation initiatives.

Key Skills:

• GL Close: General Ledger Management, Chart of Accounts Design and Month end close processes
• Investment Accounting: Experience in Investment Accounting, NAV calculations and securities management with valuation expertise
• Deep Understanding of FP&A Processes: Knowledge of FP&A processes, including forecasting, budgeting, finance close, intercompany accounting, financial reporting standards, and management reporting.
• Finance Transformation: Experience in conducting As-Is and To-Be process assessments, process redesign and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Finance Systems Proficiency: Experience with Finance Systems such as Oracle EPM, Anaplan, Adaptive, Workiva, Workday, Blackline, Trintech, Tagetik and designing operating models that integrate people, processes, and technology.

 

Education:

• Domain Expertise: Experience of working in the Financial Services domain across Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, and Capital Markets.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. Advanced degrees (MBA or equivalent) are preferred. B.Tech or Engineering graduates with relevant work experience in finance or financial systems.

 

Experience Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or transformation roles.
• Proven Track Record: A history of contributing to finance process improvements, optimizing close cycles, implementing automation, and ensuring compliance in GL Close, FP&A, and R2R functions.
