About the role

The Assistant Manager – Reward Operations plays a critical role within GPS Reward, acting as a Reward subject matter expert and operational leader for core Reward processes. While the role has a strong operational backbone, it also requires solid Reward knowledge, professional judgement, and the confidence to challenge and improve how work is done.

This role is responsible not only for delivering Reward operations with high quality and discipline, but also for acting as a focal point for HR and business stakeholders, translating Reward principles into practical execution, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement across processes, controls, and user experience.

The role combines operational leadership (~60–65%) with Reward expertise, advisory capability, and improvement leadership (~35–40%).

Your responsibilities

•    Lead end to end delivery of core Reward processes, including Annual Pay Review, Bonus/APP payouts, and off cycle compensation changes, with full accountability for quality and accuracy.
•    Act as a trusted operational partner to HRBPs, Reward COE, Payroll, Finance, and the business, providing clear guidance and challenge where needed.
•    Own ticket management and escalations, ensuring SLA adherence while reducing repeat issues through root cause analysis.
•    Maintain and continuously improve SOPs, controls, and documentation to support scalability and cross coverage.
•    Identify process gaps, risks, and inefficiencies; propose and drive improvements, including automation and system enhancements.
•    Provide operational insights to the Reward COE to influence future Reward design and governance.

The experience we're looking for

•    Solid Reward knowledge (performance pay, salary structures, compensation letters).
•    Experience managing complex Reward operations with sound judgement and attention to detail.
•    Confidence to challenge stakeholders constructively and uphold Reward principles.
•    Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
•    Experience with HR systems and ticketing tools (e.g. Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, beqom).
•    Clear communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
