Overview: The Bakery Chef will support in planning, preparation, production and quality control of all desserts and baked goods. The Bakery Chef will also be in charge of overseeing activities of the bakery department in the absence of the Head Chef. Job Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, bread; ice creams according to designated recipes and quality standards Familiar with using food scales for measuring and preparing food Develop and implement new recipes and the presentation of desserts Operate and maintain all baking equipment and report malfunctions Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish Assist with day to day activities concerning inventory and purchase of food supplies Clean and maintain work station, baking utensils and equipments according to the estabilshed sanitation and safety standards Supervise and train lower level bakery staff to work more efficiently and clean
