Position: Study Counselor for Overseas / abroad Education :Roles and Responsibilities: The Education Counselor will prospect leads, understand the prospective students, educational background and career goals, finalize applications, provide excellent counseling services to students. The position will also be involved in events, exhibitions, and promotions of Chalo Overseas Inc and its affiliates/ clients. Guide students on standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, and GRE, possible financial aid, and on student visa and travel to Canada and other countries. What You Will Do: Assessing skills and characteristics of the candidates to curate a career roadmap and advice on probable degrees. Provide in-depth program/university information including entry requirements, financial aid, and visa process time to student’s in-person, e-mail, telephone, and /or internet tools through one-on-one, group advising sessions, and webinars and submit applications to institutions, obtain offers and facilitate enrollments. Provide help and advice on the higher education admission process across various countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Australia, etc. Managing client relationships and expectations. Provide accurate, efficient, and quality service that exceeds customer’s expectation Maintain a high degree of responsibility towards customers confidentially Client satisfaction Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner CRM system is used to support the end-to-end counseling process including the capture and follow-up of all leads and opportunities to close sales. Other duties as assigned by the management Requirements: Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent. 1-5 years of experience dealing with individuals from diverse backgrounds required Experience providing service in a post-secondary educational environment preferred Must have knowledge of overseas college and university systems and programs; specifically Canada's Higher educational system. Knowledge of education institutions, admission processes, immigration requirements, and their international operations. Positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation Experience of working in a sales-driven environment with a strong focus on achieving individual and team-based targets. Outstanding communication skills and able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with varying needs and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, educational institutions, and others as needed. Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Customer-focused, with a passion for providing outstanding service. Highly effective relationship building and relationship management skills. Effective team worker, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to overall team’s success. Ability to proactively identify, analyze and solve problems effectively. Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems.
