We are looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The Graphic Designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. Responsibilities - Meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job - Schedule projects, Estimating the time required to complete a job and providing quotes for clients - Developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose - Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design - Using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints - Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers - Conceptualize visuals based on requirements. Prepare rough drafts and present ideas - Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand - Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic - Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on current client workload - Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics - Put together disparate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs and other components necessary for a website design - Consult with clients’ marketing, copywriting and sales teams to create cohesive designs that reflect our clients’ corporate cultures and goals - Test graphics across various media - Amend designs after feedback - Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand - Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies. Requirements - Proven graphic designing experience - A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics - Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) - A keen eye for aesthetics and details - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines - Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
