Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (Retail Company)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the day-to-day accounting operations of our retail business. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.

• Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file GST returns (if applicable)
• Process payroll and manage employee reimbursements
• Monitor cash flow and daily financial transactions
• Coordinate with auditors and support audits
• Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a retail environment
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong understanding of GST, taxation, and financial regulations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Preferred Skills:Experience with inventory and stock management systems
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills
