Job Description: Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Accountant to manage the complete financial operations of our firm. The candidate will be required to work from the office and take full responsibility for handling accounts related to both the operational site and the overall business.

The Accountant will maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including daily entries, invoices, receipts, and payments. They will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ensuring proper cash flow management to support smooth operations.

A major part of this role involves handling taxation and compliance. The candidate will manage GST filings, TDS, income tax documentation, and ensure timely submission of all statutory requirements. Coordination with auditors, consultants, and government authorities will also be required when necessary.

The Accountant will prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and monthly performance reports for management review. They will assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Additionally, the role includes monitoring expenses at the operations site, verifying bills, controlling unnecessary costs, and ensuring financial discipline across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage complete accounting operations of the firm



Maintain books of accounts and financial records



Handle GST, TDS, and other tax-related work



Prepare financial statements and reports



Monitor operational expenses and cost control



Ensure compliance with financial regulations



Coordinate with auditors and external agencies



Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field



Proven experience in accounting and taxation



Strong knowledge of GST and financial compliance



Proficiency in Tally, Excel, or other accounting software



High attention to detail and accuracy



Ability to handle responsibilities independently



This role demands a proactive mindset and strong financial control skills, making it suitable for someone who can take ownership of the firm’s entire accounting system and contribute to its financial growth.
