Salesforce Administrator

Revenue Operations plays a critical role in ensuring financial success by improving the platforms, operations, and systems supporting our go-to-market teams. This team partners with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to deliver scalable and efficient processes across the customer lifecycle, from lead generation to revenue recognition. Revenue Operations is essential to achieving our company’s revenue and operational goals.

The Salesforce Administrator is an individual contributor on the Mumbai Revenue Operations team, responsible for supporting the configuration, maintenance, and administration of PitchBook’s Salesforce platform. Working under the guidance of the Senior Salesforce Administrator and Manager, Salesforce Administration, this role executes on platform tasks defined by the US-based RevOps team and contributes to the day-to-day health and reliability of the CRM. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow their Salesforce skills, and comfortable operating within a structured, globally coordinated team environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Salesforce administration tasks including field and object configuration, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and basic flow updates under the direction of the Senior Salesforce Administrator.
  • Execute platform changes according to specifications provided by the US-based Salesforce Administration team, following established governance processes and change management procedures.
  • Manage user administration including account creation, deactivation, profile and permission set assignments, and license tracking.
  • Support sandbox refreshes, data loads, and change set deployments as directed by senior team members and US counterparts.
  • Maintain platform documentation including updating configuration logs, field inventories, and release notes to keep records current and accurate.
  • Triage and resolve Tier 1 Salesforce support requests, escalating more complex issues to the Senior Salesforce Administrator or US team as appropriate.
  • Assist with data quality tasks including identifying duplicates, running hygiene reports, and supporting validation rule updates to maintain CRM integrity.
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors.
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2-4 years of Salesforce Administration experience; recent graduates with a Salesforce Administrator certification and relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required or actively in progress.
  • Foundational knowledge of Salesforce including standard objects, fields, page layouts, reports, dashboards, and user management.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud required; exposure to Service Cloud or Experience Cloud a plus.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.

Working Conditions       

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. This role is expected to be in office 5 days per week. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
